DIRONA, S.A. incorporated in 1985 as a rear axle assembling plant for heavy trucks. Dirona, S.A operated through the association of the Mexican goverment and U.S. firm Rockwell International. Rockewell Intrenational is a leader in the automotive industry and well known worldwide.

In 1988, Dirona, S.A. was privated. The Company along with Grupo Quimmco de México and Rockwell International joined forces in the manufacturing and expansion of axles and brakes. 

In 1992 a new plant joined in the manufacturing of brakes. It fitted the growth and needs of the automotive industry in Mexico as well as in the international market.
